Artists who produce a new work for an exhibition receive a production budget as well as an artist's fee. The artist fees depend on the type of exhibition (group or solo exhibition), the size and the workload of the production of the new work.
Artists' fees are paid in different ways, either through KVR, Interim or invoicing, depending on the artist's situation and the scale of the production.
(Artists who show an existing work receive a fee for hanging rights.)

The average cost for a smaller production in the context of a group exhibition. Depending on the method of payment, the artist is left with a netto fee of approximately €500 (KVR – limited amount per day and year), €200 (SBK) or €234,75 (invoice). The impact of the payment method on the netto fee is taken into account when calculating the payment.
